Did You Know That No Two Snowflakes Are Alike?

It’s difficult to believe but no two snowflakes are alike. Yes that’s right, every snowflake is unique.

No Two Snowflakes Alike

The marvellous and beautiful shapes created each time are different every time. Of course it cannot be completely proven as every single snowflake that ever dropped has not been documented.

Yet of those that have been analysed under the microscope and documented, there have never been found two which are the same.

Now from what’s understood about snowflake formation, which is not very much by the way, is that crystals form various shapes depending on the temperature and humidity. Moreover, scientists aren’t sure why these factors causes a change in the shape.

The snow scientist Charles Knight estimates that there are 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 water molecules in a snow crystal. Now if you think to yourself that these 10 quintillion molecules can be rearranged in any way then the possibilities are almost infinite.

In fact the possibilities are that many there’s probably not even a name for the number!
